I can eat that food or full roasts in the UK come rain or shine. 90 degs, no probs sit a whole roast chicken and potatoes in front of me, 1 florette of broccoli and gravy and i'm good to go. Just don't try nicking the skin, you'll get a fork in the hand

I have worked with two people over the years who don't have gravy on roasts, won't touch the stuff - even typing this now leaves me in disbelief - how can anyone eat dry meals. They must be a genetic subdivision, it ain't normal.

My better half can make an amazing gravy. I was really surprised we did a chicken dinner but when it is on sale for .80 cents a pound what can you do? From a local chicken farm that is basically the only brand of chicken I buy.

Marmite food, lunch as i know it

Ratatouille, Grilled Sardines and French bread. The stodge comes later.

There's a local fishmonger, they are previously frozen unfortunately and TBH I should have had the grill hotter. If i am being honester i'm working through my freezer trying to have a clear out and this always yields some odd combo's.

Very very hard to beat as a home cooked comfort food meal. Saw the ever delightful Nigella Lawson on a cooking show recently and she reckons Roast Chicken would be her last meal - given the choice. It'd be high on my list too, with mash potatoes and gravy.

Indeed and you would be one of the first on this thread I would think to agree mate. Have but up some good home cooked yourself.

I am spoiled and am not sure if I could do that meself.
