Here's one on the barby.

It's actually a gastropub that is booked solid every Sunday. The photo obviously doesn't do it justice.
For me, there will always be something on a menu that appeals far more than a roast. And as you say, when you are married to a Thai, the need to cook Western food diminishes some what.
The idea of having one every Sunday, simply because it's a Sunday is lost on me. I do enjoy it on the rare occasions I have one though.
Here is tonights cheap little feast served up by my dear little wife , bless her she is loaded with flue and has been to work but has still managed to serve me this .
We have some lean minced pork meatballs cooked in some heavenly sauce ,, complimented by a Tom sap gai soup + some stir / olive oil /watered veg + some jasmine rice .
All in all I am one happy hubby tonight !
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
I never did get Thai food. Those meatballs look nice.
Could have made a nice rice pudding and fed the rabbit out the rest of it
^ Jans laughing
I love it could happilly eat it most days now
Somtum my answer was here mate as previously mentioned
I used to love a big old bulky plateful , but now this Thai pick n mix kinda thing suits me fineOriginally Posted by nigelandjan
Nar left for Thailand on Friday, she also left me her eco system that normally swarms around that Thai food she leaves me behind. I had to spring clean the whole place last weekend and get the Mr Muscle out
Anyway on a lighter note, I have saw on here Jan's attempts at Farang food, which she looked pretty adept at
I wish I'd have took some pics of the Chicken breast with thousand island dressing or spaghetti and stew sauce i was surprised with and had to look greatly contented with this holiday.
Does Jan have any sisters ?
Grub looks good.
Better get the chimney sweeper in!Originally Posted by nigelandjan

Funny you should say that , she has , all joking aside for a min , one is not with us anymore ,,,, one is quite badly disabled ,,,, and the one which is a little bit older than Jan is lovely , she is in charge of the local hospital ,, and yes she is as lovely as Jan BUT can neither cook or eat farang food and is married to a police sherif , who BTW allways carries a gun with himOriginally Posted by Dillinger

Nah it didn't work mate... How are you trying to upload your pics? Best (easiest) way is just to upload them to a free photo hosting site and copy the URL into the box above
My favorite lunch, a European beer, dutch is the cheapest here. Some Guacamole and pulled pork with tabbouleh, condiments served on toasted Turkish bread, and as its Queensland always there is sun.
Quality surrounds and food.
What a cracking place to sit and have dinner!
^ perfect temperature as well, (for me).
generally around this time of the year about 25 deg, so I ask (Smeg like) why the fook am a back in Thailand sweating my balls off ?.
^ that has that weather 3 winter months of the year as well.
I found smoked ham hocks in Villa today. Pinto's cajun style coming tomorrow. I even got bells, onions, and celery to make the holy trinity base of cajun cooking.
Looking forward to see that hock of ham AO.
I had one in a cider sauce last time in the UK. Superb
I must admit I was so excited to get the hock I did not check that it was smoked. Wasnt. So I took off for Villa and got a big hunk of smoked back bacon as well.
Cooked of the Cajun holy trinity of celery, bell pepper and onion, I added a few garlic cloves as well. Made a roux by browing flour for 20 minutes and added that to the bean mixture. Added some very fresh dices Roma tomatoes as well. Now its been in the oven cooking at 140 for over 2 hours. I also found some one big andouille sausage I will add at the end.
Its smelling so nice now I may have to try it 3/4ths done. The plan is to finish by 12:30 then let it sit and mature till dinner time.
Blimey I had a post deleted in the dinner thread WTF ??
I only praised PP for his lovely food and view ,, I gotta be a bit less controversial
Perhaps you forgot to press enter. I have done that a few times.
