Starting off with some french bread with fresh basil and cheese, ground pepper, drizzled with cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil, with a small selection of (pretty crap) pesto, to go with ze German wheat beer.

Missus is having a barbie so think I'll sneak on a few ribs or a kebab.

CM your the man on the ol dinna thread ! ,, I know I've mentioned it before but your kinda food is just the kinda thing my eldest son would make,, very different to my take on food ,, BUT each to their own , you obviously enjoy it and I probably would to.

Looking at your fast and easy splash and dash approach I reckon you would be a dab hand with the watercolours your not a closet Jackson Pollox are you ?

Ok tonight how about a bit of Ratatoullie ? first time Ive done this one , so here goes .

First the basic ingredients ,, I think you can waver a bit according to your taste buds.

Sorry not a full recipe jobby ,, just to give you an idea ,, here I am SLOWLY cooking the onions + garlic , this is a good tip SLOWLY on low heat not to burn the garlic .

Basically after the onion / garlic has sweated down you add the meat / peppers / tomato sauce / etc to the wok to simmer a bit before putting into a casserole dish into the oven for 2 hours @ 180 deg.

Served up with veg I have grown in my garden , roast potatoe / marrow / carrot / peas / runner beans /

Now even though I say it myself that was one tasty plateful ! even my little spicy tongued partner was asking " Any more sort ?? " ( sauce )

Every pic tells a story so they say

    Cheers

Oh looks good, and my pleasure mate. Just did a fast cheeseburgers, fries and an onion and tomato relish. Mondays we get home late and there is just not much time to cook.

    Take your burgers

    Put some relish on top

    End up with this.

Toast your bun, add lettuce and the condiments you like, serve with nice hot fries and its a fast and tasty meal. Goes over very well with teenagers.

right, had a Taiwanese friend who just returned from London and gave me the scoop on prices and wondered how anyone can afford to purchase food at a restaurant there. So with that I have a good understanding that the 5 baht cost is specifically related to Thailand.
