Authentic foods from around the world.

    The banana fritter.

Pop into a Chinky take-away and order a deep fried banana in batter, served with a topping of tinned syrup and served in a tin foil dish.
A staple diet of millions of Chinese.

    The doner kebab.

A luxurious and exotic animal, native to the inland seas of Iran, this dish is first skewered by your local Iranian, who serves it to the Westerner with a knowing smile. Him and his mates performed lewed acts upon the beast the previous evening after drinking an alcoholic beverage distilled from goats piss.

Real question: Has anyone here ever eaten a Donor Kebab whilst sober?

    Yes.

I did an experiment when I was gigging in London once. After we'd done the soundcheck, I had a kebab from a take-away near the venue. It was pretty grim. Later, after the gig and a few beers, I had another. It was excellent.

Good lord, yes. I used to live in a flat opposite a kebab van and a greasy spoon and next to an indian and a Dominos Pizza.

    That's what I mean.

Sometimes the only time I know I've had one the previous evening is the fact that about half of this culinary aberration is down the front of my shirt.

Was it one (Lebanese doner kebab) close along Shaftsbury Avenue by Piccadilly Circus? I liked it when they added more fresh tommies to it.

Here's my current favorite... Chilly Crab in Singapore. my beer buddies treated us on our regular visits to that island.

I spilt vodka coke on my keyboard last night. Blame friend who rang me up and the ringing made me jump mid sip... But seems to be working today.

Those rats look absolutely projectile vomiting yuck. I did eat a chicken foot once.
