    Pissed-Up Northern 3 Course Meal

After an afternoon session in the boozer I decide to make a quality Northern 3 course dinner.

For starters I have a pork pie with brown sauce served on a wedgwood plate.

    For he main course we need the following produce;

Start by putting the fish fingers in the oven, be careful not to overcook. 10 mins at 220 will suffice.

Next we but the beans on the hob and butter the buns.

When ready, add the fish fingers in to the bun, top with beans and then top with grated cheese.

Then garnish with red and brown sauce, sit back and enjoy.

For dessert I have a chocolate angel delight.

Lovely for a pissed-up Northerner just back from the boozer.

What I had left went in to the freezer this morning, it will be turned in to a pie in the next few days.

Quality thread showcasing the splendour of British food. You can keep your foreign muck, we've got the best food in the world in Blighty. You should do a food thread on Heinz beans with mini sausages next!

    Great looking meal that.

Not at all sure about your Wedgewood plate though.
Not a design i'm familiar with, it looks like an imitation of the wild strawberry style.

Would appreciate a photo of the stamp on the underside, once the pork pie starter has been consumed, and the brown sauce, jelly and crust crumbs licked off the plate.

I have studied the pictures and come to the conclusion that you were neither "pissed up" nor drunk.
What do you drink, pepsi ?
A real northerner eats like this after a piss up.

Looks interesting. Never heard of putting fish fingers, baked beans and grated cheese on a roll.

My dad once mentioned to me that a 3 course meal for a northerner would be:-

    1. Cuppa soup
    2. Pot Noodle
    3. Yogurt

Clearly they have moved forward since that remark.

Noddles is hamming up the Wedgewood bit. It's actually a Johnson Bros design sold through Wedgwood. Same as saying you own a Ferrari, but have a Fiat.
