Show us what you had for lunch, check mine out.

Ok, I've just necked down my lunch and today I whipped up an Italian salad special which cost me the grand sum of $4.00 furnished by left overs out of my fridge.
The ingredient's are, Red and green lettuce,Feta cheese,Black olives,Stuffed Spanish green olives, Cheery tomato, Avocado, Mushrooms, Green capsicum, Red onion and sprinkled with white balsamic vinegar. Wonderfully healthy and bloody tasty.

^I thought mushy boiled tomatoes were absolutely key to an "English" breakfast. I learned that from a Marmite the Dog thread some time ago when I was researching the eating habits of heathen foreigners. Not true?

Not for me. There are loads of things you can add to make it a "Full English" like tomatoes, black pudding, hash browns, mushrooms, fried bread etc.. but I can handle all that food and can't move afterwards so I kept it simple.

I would eat what FP posted in a second. Just give hashbrowns rather than the beans. Found great frozen ones called Rosti's our of Holland frozen at Foodland. Nice bits of onion in them as well. Blue package.

The only time I can face an English breakfast is when I've had a massive night on the piss.

Any other time it sort of makes me spew to look at it.

That salad looks great Terry, and I miss not being able to get all those fresh ingredients easily here.

    Nope. Not true.

Bubble & squeak is an addition, but not essential. Chips/fries are for the chavs/trailer trash. What you guys call 'home fries' (sauteed potatoes in English) go fairly well, but are not common. Hash browns are just your usual anaemic, flavourless, over-processed American crap that anyone with taste (except AO it seems) wouldn't touch with a barge-pole. .

Feta cheese is there and fresh top quality mushrooms are choice mate when eaten raw.

Loved your choice Terry 57 but most of the ingredients not available to my knowledge up here in Udon Thani,The olives I would give a miss to tho replaced with a few small slices of Atlantic salmon accompanied by a crusty Italian roll.Of course the obligatory glass of red wine to accompany this would top it off.

I regulary knock up something similar but I prefer black olives. Nice enough on it's
own but great as a side dish with a bbq'd piece of salmon or a T-bone.

I tend to have either a salad on its own and then I'll either cook up a piece of steak or fish.

Just the way I tend to eat.
