Hi everyone - I'VE GOT CRABS!

Now, what to do with them?

Withnall, before you start franctically typing your suggestions..no..no, I most certainly won't.

200 baht for this trio in Tescos..which is incidentally alot cheaper than most people get them for in this country..

I also bought some sweetcorn, some LOW FAT Cesar salad dressing and some mushrooms...don't ask, I was still half pissed..

Should I just throw all the ingredients into a mortar and beat the fuck out of them with a mortar?...it seems to be en vogue around these parts..

^The mrs gave me a bollocking when I got home...they'll feed you and only you, she remarked...

A bit of shrugging and basic indifference put that to bed.

10 of those blueys wouldn't even take the edge off my appetite mate.

All shell and hard work but I love to eat them particularly the muddies in curry sauce with a few ales.

Thank christ I have trained my missus to peel them for me.

By the way mate crack on with the banquette............I'm fooking starving.

Those crabs are a bit pathetic.

Leave the fuckers outside in the sun for a week or two, then mash 'em up with a pint or two of fish sauce. Light the blue touchpaper and stand well back.

For that price I would expect them cooked and served with rice in Pattaya.

Twice last year I had crabs that size knocking on my front door. We didn't live anywhere near the sea or a decent sized klong. Do ya reckon they could have escaped from a restaurant or is it possible it rains crabs here?

..possibly, but they should upgrade to uncut cocaine and lobster..purely for the sake of the tourism industry.

Those are the blue swimmers that they cook on Cha-am beach and serve up with a spicy dipping sauce.

All you need to do is steam them, take off the legs and claws, crack the shell. As long as they're fresh, the meat will be sweet and juicy.

Pic from Prachuap - same same but different.

Normally I'd go to the market..but I was severely hungover that day, and god help the purveyors of rotten fish...projectile vomitting would have occurred.

Funnily enough, my therapist says the same thing..but I tell her bollocks and scuttle out of the waiting room to the nearest pub..

Crabs currently being steamed ala Benbaa's suggestion..a 'bog dashing' thread could be on the cards..

Exactly, no need to mess around with a good thing.
