    Eating Offal

I've taken my vegetarianism to new extremes in that I eat fish....chicken....and pork. I will not however eat beef, or herbivores. My thinking being that if an animal is a omnivore/carnivore then they can't really complain if I eat them, well they can, but their argument is flawed from the off. Along the same lines I believe that if we kill an animal the least we can do is to eat as much of it as we can. I do not therefore shy away from offal.

My favourites is grilled chicken-liver with sticky-rice and tomato-sauce - classy! I also like pig-liver, but it must be well cooked. I ordered it (mistakenly) semi-raw once and it was just about as disgusting as can be imagined.

When buying the chicken-livers there is often another piece of offal on the 'kebab'. Very chewing and tough - chicken kidney?? which is okay. They also include hearts sometimes and these are okay but I have to remove the 'tubes' first.

One piece of offal I will not eat are the pig intestines that are found in noodle 'soups'. I'm not a doctor, but isn't this basically intestine stuffed with proto-poo?
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!

Cow's udder is very nice and the lungs are quite edible.

I had cow skin salad once which was edible but tasted of nothing.

Could be. I've seen the ducks' behinds sold seperatley.

Not sure it counts as offal, but chicken-feet are quite nice in a strange way. Not quite meat nor fat. Bit boney though.

According to the missus they taste better than pork. What you do is burn off the fur first over a open flame then remove the guts leaving in the liver of course then add salt to taste. You can only use rice farm rats because there not dirty the same as sewer rats, shes licking her lips now!!!

I have very strict unwavering lines drawn when it comes to this type of thing.

I'll eat bbq liver, and whatever is in larb (apart from arteries).

I'll also eat mystery bags and pies in farang land.

    Thats it.

Although something has probably got past my defences whilst pissed.

I won't even try something for "fun"

Spent some time in the aussie outback on a cattle station - every 3 or 4 weeks we had a 'killer' bbq. A big cow was shot, quartered and hung and then the offal was put on the barbie - getting wet thinking of the sweetmeat.
