Here would be one for a brisket of beef.

SMOKED BRISKET OF BEEF 5 lbs. brisket of beef
    Bottled bar-b-que sauce
    Onion salt
    Garlic salt
    4 oz. liquid smoke
    Salt & pepper
    Celery salt
    Worcestershire sauce

Season the beef with salt, celery salt, onion salt, and garlic salt. Marinate overnight in 4 ounces liquid smoke in the refrigerator. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce. Cover with foil and bake about 5 hours in a slow oven. Pour 1/2 bottle barbeque sauce over the meat and bake 1 hour more.

    Hi Carnwadrick,

I was planning to make a BBQ sauce with it.

Liquid smoke is highly concentrated, so a little bit goes a long way. Be careful or it will overpower the flavors instead of enhancing them.

    ================

    Smoky BBQ Sauce

    Ingredients:
    1 cup ketchup
    1 cup red wine vinegar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup molasses
    1 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder

    Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat, and whisk until smooth.

Bring sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
