    we're talking krapao..moo or gai?

Was reading Rob's post on a krapao recipe and thought of this poll question. Most falangs like pad krapao..but some prefer moo, and others like the gai. I most often come across moo or gai options, but there are others. Let us know where you stand...or what you eat. For the sake of this poll we will assume that the cai dao is a given, as it should be.

Me, I'm a moo guy..moo sap to be exact.

I think the most desirable thing is 'sab' (minced), whether moo or gai. For me it's the blend of of meat with the rice that makes it special, which is better with minced meat, and of course the sauce/vegetable of choice and basil.

Have you guys ever made your own and used minced beef? Tastes pretty good, but the moo sap is the way forward for sure.

Yup, love it with minced beef, but unfortunately the wife doesn't eat beef, and whilst she'll make it for me occasionally, I prefer we share the same food.

I like gai sap, as my wife says, it is "mai uan". Sometimes I enjoy it with moo
for a change, but as she does the cooking it is up to her.

My favorite krapao has turned out to be gung. There is a lady that runs a little 'lean to' around the corner from my place in Pattaya, she mixes up a great one for 25 bht- and the prawns are fresh daily from the nearby Nongprue market.

Used to be moo until I fairly recently saw a truck carrying the moos, stack..poor bastards dead or badly injured all over the place..not the most pleasant way to be taken to the slaughter yard. Gai, shrimp or squid now..gai predominantly..thats until I see a gai lorry stack too..

Toughen yerself up STS...Pretty well all animals raised for human consumption live short brutish lives. Either give up meat altogether or relish in it. No half measures!
