What spices should I add to my chicken batter?

Just deep fried some chicken tenders with some Knorr batter. First in the wet batter, then in the dry batter, then into the oil. Added some salt and pepper, and some garlic flakes to the dry batter.

    Lovely.

What spices etc can I add to make it extra lovely?

I like this, found at the local Tesco:

A little bit goes a long way. Mix it up with some breadcrumbs for some broiler-oven fried chicken. Fast and easy.

Will pick up some of that stuff cheers.

Did a few last night with cumin and tumeric. Didn't have paprika in my spice rack, so will have to pick that up too.

Cumin and tumeric did make it taste nicer cheers.

You can stick some Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce in there too. Also red pepper flakes and chili flakes/powder to give it a kick.

I got some Lemon Pepper, Seasoned Pepper and Garlic Salt from Tescos that I have been experimenting with recently.

All these pre mixed spices, Old bay, Cajun mix, chicken coating, are easily mixed up at home, proved you have the basic spices that is.
The mix ratios are found on the wonderful invention of the internet. I do all my own, mainly because while I am a clever old cvnt I'm also quite broke.

I'm lazy. Premixed is fine for mine.

Didn't have this in Tops, Big C or Villa Market Chitlom.

They sell superb fried chicken outside my house for 10thb per piece.

I tried it a few days ago and it was delicious. Doesn't look like I'll be making my own again for a while!

    It's not directly outside!

The food over here near the river is great. Local food at local prices.

Their fried chicken is very good though, probably better than I have ever managed to make it.
