I hate bloody vegetables fvcking hate them, except for french fries ( are they a vegetable ?) and leading the pack of foul tasting things that grow in the ground are these horrible things. ![]() Brussels sprouts, I hate the Belgium bastards that invented them as well. Next: Okra, what a piece of shit they are, slimy crap suitable for dark skinned peoples only. Next: Bell peppers, trendy looking Veg thats made out of plastic and it tastes like it. First time I had it, cooked at a twosome dinner party, by some North shore chick, I gagged on the fuckin stuff and didn't get a shag either, waste of time. Next: Spinach, Slimey shit suitable only for that wanker popeye. Next: Cabbage, not bad when its raw but I was brought up on the overcooked stuff, cooked until it smelled and tasted like cats piss. Next: Eggplant, what the fucks that about? it doesn't look anything like an egg does't it ? Well, thats the bulk of my list but don't get into the swampweed stuff my missus cooks up for her self.

Not much chance of that mate, I moved out of home to avoid my Mums home cooking when I was 18, not going to start experimenting with vegetables now. Salads I enjoy, Coleslaw as well, but cooked vegetables, No way.

Didn't you have some health problems a while back PP? Perhaps there is a correlation? I love broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. Also love a good steak to go with it though.

It has taken me years but i can just manage peas and carrots, maybe some mashed swede. As a child i was forced to eat disgusting stuff like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and sprouts. I think tht's why i turned out like i am; a sullen argumentative bastard. Parents don't do it please, let me be an example to you.

In my twilight years I am always on the lookout for something to prolong the agony of life. The latest medical evidence suggests that green leafy vegetables are useful in preventing disease. FROM THE NET: Salad greens are indeed an indispensable part of a healthful diet. No healthy diet is complete with out lettuce and spinach salads. Available throughout the year, these salad greens are abundant in essential nutrients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, carotene, calcium, folate, fiber, and phytonutrients. It is found that red and dark green leafs are richer in their nutrient content when compared to their lighter colored vegetable counterparts. However, since most of these leafy vegetables are added in either completely raw or partly cooked form, extreme care should be taken in order to prevent food-born illnesses. The nutrient rich nature of the leafy vegetables is due to the light-absorbing and energy-converting system of plants. They are naturally low in calories and sodium and also do not contribute to cholesterol accumulation. Phytonutrients present in salad greens provides long-term health. These elements also act as antioxidants and are found to help in preventing chronic ailments such as cancer and coronary irregularities. One cup of lettuce, the most popular leafy vegetable used in salads, contributes seven calories. That is why health-conscious people take in more lettuce. It will easily satisfy your hunger though the calorie contribution is less. However, lettuce is not considered as an independent vegetable. In salads, it gets mixed up with a variety of other leaves. All the salad greens, including lettuce are made available in a variety of flavors with slight difference. Some of the salad greens are crispy, some are bitter, still others are tangy.
