Thread: Show us yer kitchen

I'm not gay but I do like a good kitchen, I havn't got one of those fancy designer kitchens, I would quite like one tho, but this rather utilitarian one will have to suffice for some time.

It hasn't really got any bench space so a brought someones big long 2nd hand bench left over from a renovation, it has a good sized sink and am currently installing this in the carport.

It will be mine only so can be at a proper farang height instead of 200 mm off the floor as is usual.

At at the moment this is what I have.








We picked up another oven along the way so have 2 good gas ovens, a trusty old Sharp Combinatiopn Oven / Microwave about 5 yrs old and am currently building a outside tandorri oven.



This shows the Thai style bench cupboard unit, as useless as tits on a katoey but the missus uses it and its the right size for her.

I am getting a new Freezer this week, so will have one proper sized refrigerator one useless sized Thai style one which I use as a cooler ( set about 5deg) only for vegetables and fruit, and a proper chest freezer.
Next week I shall add my new Tandoori and outside farang work space.

could do with some bench space mate.

Pretty similar to yours PP but a lot errrr rougher. I like it though. Much prefer utilitarian to designer Euro fitted kitchens.

The Midget's kitchen is a wonky old table out the back and a twin gas hob on one of them blue ice chests.

Here is mine and mighty handy as you know Peter. but it is a hot sumbitch now tho.



But now the table is behind that fridge again the wall, as you know PP.

freezer is moved just a little and the Thai sixe fridge I use for curing is beside it



you know about it tho Peter and you have seen the on I built at the other house, it is bigger and handy, but this one is real handy to work in, which I do a lot of.

I'm with JJ. Prefered practical or imagery.

Yea, but the south wall is almost solid with no openings and it radiates heat into the room. I might have Q-con put on the outside as there is just a walkway out there and with no window it should be simple and work, I will talk to my contractor buddy about doing it when his crew is here doing my attic fan.

Reckon his kitchen consist of a clay pot. Did you ever managed to cook chickens in a pot JJ?

Out of all the kitchens my wife and I have built this is far and away our favourite and in a house we would never sell.

The oven is superb and we can roast 2 big chickens in it and plenty of work top area.

Not huge but pratical.

As above and looking from outside in.

The first things that were removed was the carpets and when we moved back into the house.

mine is a crappy small room, but then the maid spends most of her time there anyway.

I have built massive big kitchens that don't have anywhere near the feel of this one and at about 10 times the investment!

I love my kitchen. As it always full of food and booze.

Nice kitchen LT, I have always built my own kitchens but more a fan of High Gloss Lacquered finishes. I built a Beauty in Melbourne and that's what I will get here one day.
I know Mr Norty and Sabang have very nice kitchens as well, Sabangs is big enough to serve as a restaurant kitchen.
