Things you don't need to put in the fridge
I have cost count of the maids and cleaners I have fired after searching everywhere for my sliced wholemeal bread and finding it hard and cold in the fridge.

Bread does not belong in the fridge, neither do eggs, carrots or ginger and countless other food items that obsessive fuckwits on both sides of the globe fail and fail again to realize.

In this climate eggs & bread go in the fridge. In fact, I put all perishable goods in there as well as some tinned stuff if there's room.

i must admit i would also put carrots in the fridge. i am not really firm about it but i would want to try to keep them chilled.

I freeze all my English bread bought from The Mall in Korat. Snap off a couple of slices, as I need them, and once defrosted they're as good as fresh. Surely lowering the temperature ensures longer lasting. Or was I taught wrong at skool ?

Problem with bread in the fridge is that staling is accelerated below 14 Deg, in colder climates industrial bakeries heat their bread dispatch rooms to keep them above 14 DegC.
