| Had chicken breast stuffed with Stilton, thinly sliced olives and cheddar, in the oven for 25 mins under a film of olive oil, with peppered broccoli & mushrooms cooked in oyster sauce and garlic. It was spankin'! |

| Previously put these on The Lunch thread. They were evening dinners though. Small chicken stuffed and roasted slowly. ![]() Served up with a few boiled potato's, broccoli, carrots, (grown in Flobo's vegetable patch) cauliflower, stuffing and a light gravy. ![]() Nearly forgot..Apple pie and custard. __________________ All the women take their blouses off And the men all dance on the polka dots It's closing time ! Flobo made a steak casserole or stew, doesn't really matter how you refer to it. It was good. OK Flobo defrosted some nice lumps of diced braising streak and cut up a few onions, (I love onions) some lentils and a double measure of barley. These all went into the casserole pot and she put it in the oven set at 180 fan assisted for about four hours, maybe four and a half, nice and slow cook. ![]() You can see the rain through the window as well. No window or rain on this one to distract your attention. ![]() She boiled a few potato's, warmed a few of those fresh garden carrots and cooked some cabbage. Normally she would make me a couple of dumplings with a meal like this. However, I have to get some weight off, which has been a curse this last seventeen months since I stopped smoking. I'm going to have to knuckle down to it now though, instead of keeping talking about it. The finished product. ![]() I confess to having 'seconds' and there's enough left to warm up for tomorrows lunch. Really tasty.

| Bit too far gone to post last night. So. We had roast turkey, candied yams, mashed potatoes with gravy, stir-fried broccoli and bok choy with oyster sauce and dao jeaw, green salad, pasta salad with tortellini, feta cheese, klamata olives, mushrooms, fresh oregano, and assorted other salad-type vegetables dressed with a lemon & olive oil; cranberry sauce, home made sourdough bread, some chilean red, kentuckian Wild Turkey and a ten-year old port. Tonight? What else? Turkey stew. No photos this time, I was kinda busy puttin all that together. Think the ol lady tried to snap a few shots, but I kept chasing her outta the kitchen.

| Flobo bought some nice Lemon Sole, made a mixture of fancy crumbs with eggs and grilled it slowly. A nice jacket potato, a few really tasty sprouts and some more carrots from the garden. A Tomato and a slice of lemon just for the juice. ![]() Terrific... Last edited by Mathos : 29-11-2008 at 05:59 AM. |

| ^ Looks yum. I love how you just sort of brush the carrots off and cook them whole. Quote:
Ooh, please post a recipe for those, FF. | ||

| Flobo roasted a Pork Joint yesterday. ![]() Nothing spectacular, but it made a really nice dinner last night, she crackled some of the rind and served it up with cabbage, cauliflower, some of those home grown carrots and a few boiled potato's. ![]() Really was a delicious meal. |

| Flobo had gone shopping with our younger daughter and I had to make my own evening meal. It was easy. I made a steak and ale pie with some oven chips, some cabbage, and some really nice bread, with best Irish butter on. Lots of it. ![]() Easy this making meals. ![]() Oh yes, and I made some mince pies. ![]() You can see them on the right. I had it on a tray in front of the telly, it saved messsing the table up. ![]() It was right good too. How many marks out of ten for that cooking then. 10/10 I reckon. I forgot to make myself a cup of tea though and had to get up again after getting comfortable. |

| ^ You are putting us all to shame, Mathos. I was lazy. Just sesame crust Italian bread with butter and peanut butter, baby carrots, milk. Then java and a homemade choc chip cookie from my Mom. I might heat up some baked chicken later. |
