Pomelos What is it with this fruit and me? I quite enjoy eating one now and again but oh dear the morning after is worse than a night out on the bass. "my shit don't stink" is not something that springs to mind on these occasions. Is it just me? or does it affect everyone in the same way? What food does it for you?

Guess I'm wierd, but walking by the Durian stands, I love the smell. The taste is fantastic. Hate the texture though, unless it's good and firm. Pomelos are just weak-assed cousins to good grapfruit, not much flavor.

Durians i can take them or leave them but wont have them inthe house because of the stench. i agree with FF comment on pomelos but where to get grapefruit, cheaply in Bkk. Plus for me unlike the zillions of oranges available here- no pips with the pomelos

And - I drink it with beer - no problem. If you want a real smelly fruit, try petai - small green pea-like fruit (or vegetable?). Tastes heavenly, smells like pure death. And the farts - you don't want to know about the farts......
