Mikes are good fo precooking yams before baking or roasting. 5-10 minutes to get a bit softish and then cook as usual. Instant coffee? My kettle boils water way faster. All other food cooked in the mike tastes kinda phony to me, even just to warm up. It does do good Orville Redenbacher Popcorn.
