My wife is back so I took the family out for lunch.

I had the pasta of the day which was creamy something with bacon plus some potato wedges and sour cream washed down with a pepsi max.

I must admit I also had leftover pancake that my daughter didn't want.

Rib eye steaks for lunch!

Carrots, potatoes and onions in olive oil simmering in the tin foil.

^Wow, looks nice.

I had sausage and fried potatoes at PB. Not another customer in sight. Too bad, because it's a very nice place....

Spin, I take it that you are one of those lucky individuals who can eat mounds of food like that, without having to worry about your waist line?

Unfortunately, my own waist line disappeared far too many years ago!

Not at all fella, I gained 7 kilos in 3 weeks on a recent trip back to the UK.

I have to run 5 km a day just to maintain my weight

Fact is, I love eating and Thailand is one of the best places in the world to be in that respect.

I agree. I've actually lost weight after living in Australia for 18 months (less 2 months over last Christmas spent in Bangsaen).

And you should see all the yummy dessert things they have in every supermarket. I mean these things should be 'prescription only' !!

Your joking right? Most decent food is imported and therefore expensive. Most attempts at real food here are a joke.

After spending a weekend in Saigon, it puts things very much into perspective.

Oh, and I recognised the rice and boiled egg at lunch but I have no idea what else I was eating.

Why is it, you can wait an eternity for a bus, only for three to arrive at the same time?

Fish and Chips lunch at Sizzler. Just so so. But, it's only 169 baht and that includes the salad bar which is 139 by itself. So, for an extra 30 baht you get a flat piece of fried breaded fish and a plate of french fries.

But I like the stuff there (except the dishes with bloody celery in them). Thai food tends fuck vegetables up, so I tend to gorge on them when I get the chance.

Oh, and 10 cents is more like 5 pence.
