    The 2.30am Spanish Omelette

    SPANISH OMELETTE
    3 large potatoes
    1/2 onion
    3 rashes of bacon
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup of milk

Slice potatoes very finely to ensure swift cooking and put in a pan on a low heat. Chop up the onion and bacon. Add to the potatoes.
Cook the ingredients until golden brown. Pour in, then crack the eggs on top of all of the ingredients. Let it set. Cut into slices and serve.

    Voila!

I think Pat is cooking a variation of a Spanish Tortilla. The eggs are scrambled and poured over the fried potatoes and the pan is then finished off in the oven.

My son was in bangkok a few weeks ago stayed at some guesthouse. Claims he taught the cook how to make a proper omelette. Also claims that all the guests now rave about the omelette there. I'll get the name maybe one fo you guys can tell me if he's lyin'
I taught the boy how to cook; oughta be fuckin' dynamite. Somehow, I think he's lyin' to 'is ol' dad.
Added- it's the KT guesthouse near Rachada subway station. if anyone wants to give a it a taste.

Still, the best point in the silly thread is I may know where to get a proper omelette.

It is indeed but order it on its own. Don't expect the staff to serve your fries and salad at the same time.

I'll have a "chat" with them to rectify this matter.
