    My wife purchased a second hand fridge for 600 Baht and made a smoker herself with a little help from me.

    She smoked some bacon yesterday and the process was a raging success.

    I agree and up here in the Pacific Northwest of the US it is common as well. When the salmon are running people are definitely firing up the smokers. I have two of these in my freezer right now...
