I like just a few drops of milk. I never pour straight from the carton. Always pour a splash into the upturned cap first and then dribble 4 or 5 drops into the tea from there and then return the balance before screwing the cap back on.

If I still had a pipette from the chemistry lab I would use that.

yes, it does. It is a big silver thing,, that I think I've only seen in China. You press a button and the light goes on while it is boiling. When it is done the light clicks off. Too tired to take a picture.

I thought it was only necessary in cold weather. I have always done this, but thought it was so the teapot doesn't crack rather than to make the tea taste better. I suppose if you are letting the tea mash for 5 minutes or so then warming the pot and a cosy is best to keep the tea hot enough to drink.

I don't use a teapot.. I think that is where the confusion is. If you look on the first page I took a pic of my diffuser. I boil the tea and then pour it into my diffuser and then that sits on my cup and goes into it. If I have extra I pour it into a Thermos that keeps it warm until I'm ready for more.

^ Sorry, I missed that photo. I have never seen or used anything like it for making tea so can't comment.

For green teas and Oolong teas, I use a French Press Tea maker or a glass teapot with an infuser. For all black teas, loose leaf or tea-bag, I use a teapot.

Strong and milky is the way to go. I hate when I'm handed a cuppa with a little bit of milk in a stewy strong brew. Gotta stop using greasy spoon cafes.

The lady that sells the tea is from Fujian where there are big tea plantations.

Green tea with Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, Lemongrass (brought from Thailand), Rose, are some of the faves. I also like black teas like Earl Grey, English Breakfast. Any tea you can recommend?

    What are your favorites?
I've tried Earl Grey (Black), Oolongo [sic], Camamille, and different Green Teas.

I'd say Green Tea is my favorite b/c I drink 2 cups of it per day.

In addition to the health benefits, the caffeine kick I get is good, but less of a 'shock' than a coffee caffeine kick.

I also drink 2 cups of black coffee per day.

I could never figure out how people could drink black coffee.. grosss. Healthier than putting milk and sugar in it I suppose.
With drinking as much as you do, you are probably on the toilet a lot.

I had to stock up on my tea a few day ago. I was running low on my 'white peony' tea which is the best ever, and chrysanthemum.

What tea are people drinking before bed?

Often make a cinnamon and banana tea - pot of water, stick of cinnamon, an overly ripe banana chopped into 3rds with the skin on, and boil for 10 minutes...... but might switch me style up.
