Any tea lovers in da house?

I like coffee, but I absolutely adore tea of all kinds. You? I brought two tea diffusers (one large and one small) from Canada for loose leaf tea. I recently found a tea shop near my house and buy many teas. Some of my favorites recently is White Peony tea straight from Fujian province. The lady that sells the tea is from Fujian where there are big tea plantations.

Green tea with Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, Lemongrass (brought from Thailand), Rose, are some of the faves. I also like black teas like Earl Grey, English Breakfast. Any tea you can recommend?

What are your favorites?

Give Earl Grey a miss.
I do enjoy a pot of torn leaf Orange Pekoe. I'm sure the "torn leaf" is pretentious waffle and cut leaf would be indiscernable.

Try loose leaf if you get a chance, it tastes better and stronger.

For me Its Dilmah Ceylon tea. Otherwise, Orange Pekoe or English Breakfast. Narada tea grown in Nth Queensland is nice for a change also. Nothin like loose leaf tea in a pot.

Very true, that Ceylon tea is quite good as well. Grown in Sri Lanka I believe.

Love tea! Lady and Early Gray are my faves, but not adverse to English Breakfast with a slice of lemon. No milk or sugar,please. Saying that, I do love the sweet and milky Myanmar tea- great hangover cure btw! My local tea shop does a good brew, goes well with Myanmar donuts or Shan Noodles

The point, Fluke, is that Ceylon changed its name to Sri Lanka in 1972...five years before I lived there.

Every morning first thing and supplies lodged at the 4 buildings I work at. Office maid is taught how to brew it. With a cuppa before bed I seem to average 5 or 6 mugs a day.

Earl or Lady Gray if I am away from home.

Not sure why they assume the tea bag of choice here is Liptons. Piss weak as hell. By the time you've brewed a slight resemblence of a cuppa the waters gone luke warm.

Forget dipping your biscuits in it.

But.....the key is a freshly boiled kettle.

Not that almost-hot water from a heater thing where you press a big button on top

Mine short circuited the whole condo when it boiled and the auto stop failed.

Yep. Agree. Not always practical though. This is the one I use. Strong with a smooth taste.

That looks quite tasty! I'll keep it in mind when visiting Myanmar. Nothing like Turkish tea that I had in Turkey.. or Indian milk tea as well.

You can tell you guys are Brits..

TESCO is definitely a place I remember from England.. and Thailand as well. I haven't tried their tea.

Twinnings is great, and they also have loose leaf stuff. I just bought some Twinnings Earl Grey loose leaf. Darjeeling is big in China as well.

I agree ! I recently brought a kettle to work and sits on my desk.. trust me I'm peeing throughout the whole day!

This is my loose leaf tea difffuser from Davids Tea store in Canada. You put it on your cup and the bottom lets the tea out without the leaves. I also have a bigger one for when company swings by.
