You like to make out that you're a thinking man yet you resort to this childishness?

    ^^ No smoke without fire!

Breaking Bad 2017, S01E01, a remote village in Southern Thailand:

Scene 1: Bird perspective camera, over a tropical garden.
Camera slowly zooms in, a bloke wearing underpants, apron, a gas mask & fireproof gloves precariously approaches a hole in the ground, leans over & carefully lifts a pot out.
Voice: "Darn, the temperature dropped too quickly again, will have to invest in a thermometer and rockwool insulation."

    Scene 2:
Bloke in underpants, skinny, ribs produding, wide eyes, sweat dripping, sits cross-legged on a bamboo mat in front of a wooden chopping block. Rips open a bag, blue crystals spill onto the wood, bloke grabs a rusty machete and crushes the crystals, mumbling to himself.
Voice: "It's not addictive if you snort it."

Careful there bsnub. Lulu hates competition, especially when it's better and more authentic. Expect a red and some snide remarks.

    Looks good.
I have a feeling seeing that, that the Thai roasted rice powder would add a nice touch.

(now I've said that, you'll get a green and compliments )

(And having post scripted above, you'll be ignored )

I don't think anyone said it looks bad, in fact I said the meat looks cooked very nicely.
My only comment was the cummin should/could have been lightly toasted and the meat was a bit lean for my liking. Most people would have appreciated the input.
But Lulu hates that coming from me and so flew off the handle with his childishness, as usual.

    Nice.

I like to slice the steak after cooking as it has time to rest.

I think there's a lot of merit to that, adding it just prior to serving. Browned but rare.
Bsnub's way has the merit of the steak juices being incorporated.

I understand why you do that but that ain't how fajitas are made. The meat is meant to cook with all those flavors. It's the only way.

If you want to cook the meat the way you did you should call it what it is carne asada not fajitas.

Bingo!! Although carne asada is most often made with a thin flank steak.

    Couple of things LuLu....

Firstly Fajitas are not really Mexican food. Its yet another made up food started at fast food joints like "Chevy's" or "El Toritos" in the US. To really understand and enjoy Mexican food you should go there and live it. Its kind of like a Burrito with sour cream. Mexicans seldom if ever eat sour cream on a burrito but some how that is called the "Super Burrito". Anyway...

If you want to try some of my "Cheap Tequila" just ask. I always share but I think you would much rather enjoy your "Fajita's" with this.....
