As winter draws on Thyme for a good stuffing

We all enjoy a good stuffing and there many recipes online.

Some are bread style , others include meat

This is a great recipe if you can get sourdough

Best Sourdough Stuffing With Sausage and Herbs - How To Make Sourdough Stuffing With Sausage and Herbs

In the stick I use Chiang Mai sausage Olive oil local herbs cilantro basil +dry bay leaf thyme and marjarom, breadcrumbs and pork stockcube, slash of stale beer or white wine of any around cracked pepper and salt.If you stuff the bird you'll also get a lot of flavour , some prefer "dry" style in which case oven bake in a seprate tin like a cake which in essence what it is a savoury salty cake !! when the vegetarians are away it makes a superb foil for lamb chops
I used to have a job at a calendar factory.
    I got the sack because
I took a couple of days off.

I use the stick to work cracked stale bread into the sourkraut with dry herbs, major rum, an olive branch, dog & stork cube, sausage from a seprate tin with rice wine and put it in the oven before the bird gets her savoury, salty stuffing.

It is very rare that I get a bit grumpy with the good folk of Thailand but sometimes they really do fucking piss me off.

So, we went to Tesco Lotus in Chiang Kong, a fair sized establishment doing a lot of business.

We were armed with a photo of the online turkey offered on the Tesco lotus website kindly posted by Pat. Plies.

I knew they didn't have any in stock and i also know that they get deliveries from down south every day.

So, the question was "can I order a couple of your splendid frozen turkeys, please? I'm happy to come and collect them from this store. It's for Christmas, don't you know. Jingle Bells Jingle Bells and all that."

We rocked up at the "Customer service" desk.

The young lady listened carefully while my wife explained the situation.
Then she asked for a repeat.
Then she asked for the photo.
Then she blanked and went silent.
    My wife repeated the request.
    A glazed look.

I interjected and asked wife to clarify that we wished to "order" the beasts.

Girl woke up with an audible groan and got on her walkie talkie to the the meat section supervisor.

    Things are not going well.

    Said supervisor arrived.

    Repeat of previous conversation.

    Repeat of previous reaction.

Supervisor gets on the phone to someone and after 5 minutes a bloke (I'm being generous with the term "bloke") arrives.

    Allegedly a manager.

And yes you've guessed it; a repeat of a repeat of the previous conversations, a blank glazed look and shut down.

By this time my better half is getting bored.
She hates confrontation at the best of times and dreads it when I occasionally get a bit insistent but I want a bloody turkey for Xmas.

"So", says I, "please ask these good people if I really have to telephone or email the management at the head office to make my request quoting their names and positions within the Tesco Lotus branch here in Chiang Kong?"

She's pretty good and translated pretty much what I'd said.

    The result;

Blank, blank incomprehension mixed with a smidgen of fear followed by a shuffling of feet, a "rabbit in the headlights" look around the store and then they walked off.

Un fucking believable! Well perhaps not.

I decided it was beer o'clock and tried to forget about it.

    Carry on.

Tried that mate and it doesn't work.
On line means delivered. They're not delivering up here.
Bloody Lazada can, in fact they just delivered a 600Bht gallon of wood polish, no problems at all.

Never mind, at least it gives me something to rant about. Cathartic and all that.
