Let's mix it up in the kitchen with a fusion of Thai and Mediterranean Tapas.
A Tapa, in Spanish cuisine, is an appetiser, or snack. It may be cold or hot. In select bars in Spain and across the Med, tapas have evolved into an entire, sophisticated cuisine.
Thrown into the mix the vast assortment of Thai cuisine and spices we can fuse them together to create a mouth watering ever lasting menu of "Thai Tapas"
Lets enjoy this mystical and tantalising journey of the taste buds together as i try and create a different tapa a week.
My first creation was inspired by Storekeeper and his Japanese Mayo in the Dinner thread.
Ingredients:
A lemon
Two cloves of garlic
A sprig of coriander
A Basil leaf
A teaspoon of pepper
Five tablespoons of Mayonnaise.
A teaspoon of Olive oil
A tablespoon of Sriracha sauce
Into the pestle and mortar for some serious grinding action...
Served not on crispy bread but Thai prawn crackers..
A serious tangy burn and immense amount of flavours exploding on the taste buds, would be nice as a starter served with a glass of red.
Taste the fusion .....
