    Best Light Beers

I've been a beer lover for about 45 years. Until fairly recently, I didn't think there was any such thing as a good light beer. A couple of years ago, I discovered Amstel Light. Not bad. Not bad at all.

From that point on, whenever I was feeling guilty about my excessive weight, it was Amstel. Until, a few months ago, I discovered a better light beer. I doubt that any of you non-Americans have ever heard of the best American beer made, Sam Adams. There are 18 different varities/flavors of Sam Adams beer and ale. My favorite is the standard lager.

But the light beer made by Sam Adams is truly exceptional in it's category. I've never tasted any light beer that has any the body and flavor of Sam Adams Light.

So, I'm wondering if any of you have ever seen Sam Adams there in Pattaya, Light, or otherwise.

You can't get Sam Adams here. I don't think Bud is available anymore either (luckily), nor are any other Merkin beers.

HAd a couple of Sam Adams Boston ales at the cosulate for Fourth of July. Nice treat. Not the best beer the US has to offer but a taste of something I hadn;t had in a while. A Sam Adams light?
Don't see as how could ever respect brewery that makes a light beer.

Yeah, I know, Frankie. I felt the same way for most of my life. But my weight got way out of control over the years, and I had to either go "light" for most of my beer consumption, or cut it out altogether. If it weren't for Amstel, and then Sam Adams, I would have gone the latter route! I can't stand Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light, or any others.

Hopefully, if my successful weight reduction campaign continues (now down to 180# from a high of 220# 18 months ago), I'll be able to go back to the good stuff with some frequency when I get to Pattaya in April.

Well, my move is in April. I'll be there permanently after that. So I'll see some bad times, along with that best time. Of course, I also hope to see a lot of "long time"!
Short time in a pinch, too!

Axoymoron Light Beer. Yellow water is a better name. And you will never find Samuel Adams here. But at least the brew here is cheap enough.

What the hell does that have to do with light beer. You found a nice beer with a better cap.
