    The hi-so ones do.

That and knot their socks together to use as scarves when it's cold.

    Essentially, yes....
Yet, there are a few differing varieties with differing properties and taste.

Part of the parsley family, along with celery.

I miss cooking. As a single guy off and on over the years, I used to devote many a Sunday to cooking. Spaghetti sauce that I could freeze for several meals when I would get home from work too tired to cook. Roast beef that would make sandwiches for a week. Beef stew that could be frozen.

Women would beg to spend Saturday night just so they'd be around for omelets, sausages and hash browns Sunday morning.

Now, with a kitchen that feeds people all day long, and in which I can't find a fucking thing...ever...those days appear to be gone.

    I do miss it though.

Slow bake for an hour wrapped in foil.

Then mix up a mixture of:

honey, bbq sauce, soy sauce and oyster sauce, s+p.

Baste on and grill to burn.

    Give everyone a shock!

Go to the supermarket and come back with the ingredients for speg boll, spend a few hours perfecting the dish whilst tasting periodically inbetween sips of red wine and the odd crunch of garlic bread.

    Then announce dinner is served

....and a good portion of the world as well, as there is a few distinct varieties of the culinary/medicinal herb - and native to South/SE Asia, where it was introduced to most of the world just in the last half-century.
Cilantro is a rather contemporary term, used almost exclusively in the Western Hemisphere.

I wish, the number one hit on google agrees, but then it ends.

I do remember coriander seeds as a kid. But I also remember going to my favorite Mexican restaurant in uni and loving the salsa. I asked about the green leafy bits. " Its Cilantro" replied the owner Pedro. So living in a farming community near the restaurant I went to the supermarket and asked. " We dont have Cilantro", until a guy came out of the back and said " Oh you want Coriander leaves".

Even here its marked as Pok Chee or Coriander in Foodland.

    Images for coriander

    Images for cilantro

Its for sure is up for debate. No point in obsessing over it. But if you look at google images, and know the taste.........
