    Pla Ra – To Go

You cannot take it on the plane in liquid form and I don’t know anyone brave enough to pack it into their luggage.

Our Thai spouses miss Thai food when out of country. One ingredient which is difficult to find and store is Pla Ra.

Now it’s available in powder form (and cubes). Lucky you/us,…we get to smell that stuff even while overseas now.

The girlfriend will usually find some type of fish sauce in the states and she’ll keep it in the refrigerator when we’re away. But she’ll place a marker/sign on the bottle,…….”This is not rotten. Please do not throw away”.

but what about the need to register it with the UN regulatory department for biological weapons ?

considering taste is mostly smell , why is there not an inhaler they can slip onto their nose whilst eating ?
