    Tefal Actifry

Has anyone got one of these?

I've seen it on placards at the BTS and it gets great reviews at Argos.

You only need to throw a spoonful of oil in it to make great tasting healthy chips, roast spuds, meat, veg etc.

It comes with a cookbook too

100 quid in the UK. I'm gonna go have a look in Lotus in a bit

Buy Tefal AL806041 ActiFry Fryer - White at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Fryers.

Be careful there There will be a good chance the cookbook is in Thai which will make it a tad impractical unless your Thai is upto it

how very dare you Chaz, why I have a good mind to throw down the gauntlet and teach you a ruddy good lesson

They're meant to be easy to clean.

The place I've not long moved to has a proper oven Chas, as you can see, so I don't really need it. But I like the idea of the healthy easy chips

It's the first place in Thailand I've had with a real oven. My first go on it,I was in it for about 2 minutes trying to light the 'fan assisted electric ' with a gas clicker

All dry and seem to cool quickly.
Real spud chips covered in oil or lard and then put on tissue to remove excess drip.
    Stay hot a lot longer.
Cod an Chips anyone, extras, Mushy peas, pickled onion, gerkin.

But then again they say oil should be changed even after one use
as chemicals change into something nasty.
100% olive oil may be good for a few fries.
    yes more expensive.

It's a great idea and maybe cheaper in the long run seeing as though the average Thai consumes 1lt of oil a week...oh and it's healthier.

You just reminded me that I bought one of those about a year ago.

Used it twice, might try it again.

I got mine from Central in Pattaya.

Lotus had some Chinese copies of these last time I was in there. I think they were around 3000bht.
My mate's got the Philips version and reckons it's good.

    Urban Dictionary: grass cutter

not exactly the context it is used in Aust slang , but its def of stealing some ones boyfriend seems rather apt
