Has anyone got one of these?

I've seen it on placards at the BTS and it gets great reviews at Argos.

You only need to throw a spoonful of oil in it to make great tasting healthy chips, roast spuds, meat, veg etc.

It comes with a cookbook too

100 quid in the UK. I'm gonna go have a look in Lotus in a bit

Be careful there There will be a good chance the cookbook is in Thai which will make it a tad impractical unless your Thai is upto it

They're meant to be easy to clean.

The place I've not long moved to has a proper oven Chas, as you can see, so I don't really need it. But I like the idea of the healthy easy chips

It's the first place in Thailand I've had with a real oven. My first go on it,I was in it for about 2 minutes trying to light the 'fan assisted electric ' with a gas clicker

agree, chips i had from one o those fancy jobs didn't impress me.
All dry and seem to cool quickly.
Real spud chips covered in oil or lard and then put on tissue to remove excess drip.
Stay hot a lot longer.

yes more expensive.

It's a great idea and maybe cheaper in the long run seeing as though the average Thai consumes 1lt of oil a week...oh and it's healthier.

Lotus had some Chinese copies of these last time I was in there. I think they were around 3000bht.
My mate's got the Philips version and reckons it's good.
