They look good on the outside. What was on the inside? Any pics?
Look nice and real.....[as in: not perfect]
Tasty..??
EDIT * looks like beef? Mince?
Turnip (called pasternak in Sweden) Skirt pepper and crimping required for a true Cornish Oggy, some chefs add salt I do not if the quaity of the beef is good just a little cracked green pepper about 2 corns per person
I am heretic and add onion potatoe (maris piper or jersye royal and a pinch of mace, rosemary and cranberries,of course these are an anethema to purists o would offer as a relish,Failing UK ingredients mince pork a little oyster sauce red onion will work, including swece and potatoe the ingredients are over 100 bht before cooking so Id sooner have ablue crab at that tarfiff
You have obtained a nice glaze
Inside.... beef and pork ground meat, potato, carrot, and onion. No rudabaga though and might try a bit of Thai turnip next time. Mining community where I grew up had drive through pasty shops so never a problem getting a fresh pasty.
Looks great, thailazer.
If the pasties have dang rutabagas I wouldn't eat the things. I hate rutabagas. YUCKY!
Nice looking pasties and good to see you have an oven in Thailand
How cute - the mummy and daddy pasty has had a little baby.
Did you give it a name?
Oh, and all pasties are good pasties. I remember a friend at schools mum used to make bacon, sausage and beans pasties - they were blooming marvelous.
A nutbagger is like a turnip, only yellow inside and is all stanky.
Its one of those language divides. Rutabaga is more commonly known as the "swede" or correctly the "Swedish turnip" in many part of the world.
They are a must in a pasty.
Lets see:
They feed them to the cows here.
It's actually a crossbreed between a turnip and a cabbage.
Call it calzone....
