    Necrons Mc99 Chilli Meat Pie!

The Mc99's food science laboratory guys reckon their on a sure fire winner here, Chilli, a Pie, what's not to like about it?

    What you will need....

    Pastry
    600 grams flour
    150 grams butter
    150 grams shredded tasty cheese.

    Filling
Some frozen chilli I cooked last month.

    Extras
    A screwdriver.
    An empty Chang bottle.

Rub the flour, cubed butter, cheese and a dash of salt in your fingertips until combined, it should look like a bowl of breadcrumbs. Add ice cold water and mix until you have a pliable dough, like warm playdough, not sticky. Stick it in the fridge for a while. Pastry needs to be worked cold.
Use an empty Chang bottle to roll out your pastry.
Use the screwdriver to take the handle off a small fryingpan.

Pick up your rolled pastry by rolling it around the Chang bottle.
Gently lay it over your frying pan and form the edges.
    Add your fillings....

Paint the top o the pastry with egg, add the top and crimp the edges with a fork.
Add some more egg and some pepper.

In the over at 190c for 30 min or so.

    and.........

That pastry recipe made enough for maybe two of those pies.
But it will keep in the freezer.

Very nice, although I'm not convinced about the effeminate slices of tomato on the base.

Regardless, Necron's Mc99s appears the place to dine these days...

Tomatoes with the skins on are not gay unless they are in a quiche.
    Fact.

The issue was that as I was reducing the chilli to make a suitable pie filling I kept nicking a spoonful here and there.
When I had finished i was a bit short of filling so added the tomato and onions as a filler.

All in all not a bad effort for my first pie attempt I think.

    Don't be silly man.

You're confusing the macho onion, which is really a mans' version of an apple with obviously gay vegetables like asparagus and sprouts.

I'd never have thought to unscrew the handle off a frying pan to make a pie dish. Shall remember that for when i have an oven again.

Do the tomatoes not give the pie a soggy bottom?

Living among savages necessity is the mother of invention. And i stole the idea from CB's gay quiche thread )
I'd buy some pie dishes if there were any to be had.

no, not soggy but very pliant as I like it.. It was a moist filling anyway.

Na na, Na na na na Naaaa....
These are the voyages of the franchise Mc99's, on a continuing mission to seek out and explore options for real food, to find and discover edible fare that will not make you spend weeks on the shitter or vomit on the mere sight of it...

Da Daaa,,,Da Da Da DA DAAAHHHH......

'Beewhoop' -Captains' Log: Stardate: Rugby Friday.

Ships crew has been tasked with providing the Australian Ambassador with his customary rugby fare of pie, chips and ice cold beer. The replicators have no fucking idea how to make this and an offer of assorted pigs innards liberally doused in thinners along with Issanulan Ale was met with a prompt "Fuck off you poofs".

Against all known tactical doctrine and leaving the franchise totally leaderless in the event of misfortune, I beamed to the frozen wasteland of planet Fridge with the entire senior command team and a few token Red Shirt sacrifices. After letting the brave but stupid Red Shirts sacrifice themselves against obvious traps I used my judo-karate-fu on the remaining few uppity natives and took control of the scene.
I promptly identified a likely source of pie filling. The pointy eared smartarse waved his tricorder in the general direction and identified it as last weeks
    bolognaise sauce.

The Doctor removed it from it's cryotube and pronounced it edible by the Australian species. I got Scotty on the communicator and told him to beam the party up and prepare for the pie construction.

McCoy glared at me and said "Good God, Jim! This is spaghetti sauce, not pie filling, what do you think we are, miracle workers?"

"Dammit Bones, I have the future of the Federation-Okker peace treaty in my hands, I can't just give up!" adding quietly, "I know just what you are, 5 years and 78,900 reruns and not once have we seen you get laid? Get to work closet case......"

Entering the Food Science Engineering Lab I was immediately confronted by that annoying prick Scotty, "Cap'n, I doona think we can make it, the remaining pastry estimate was off by a full 20% since out last workup!"
"We have no choice Scotty, just do it"
"But Cap'n, the crust, she cannee stand the pressure of so much filling, it just cannee take it"
"You know what I can't take Scotty? 5 years and you still can't pronounce 'Captain', what are you, that Russian retards' long lost cousin? Five long years to learn the capacity of a mutli trillion dollar franchise and you still manage to only say "I cannee promise anything, the warp core cannee take it, we have no power, the shields, thera doown...." every fucking time I ask you to make it work, that's what I can't take"
    "Fucking canny Scots my arse........"

    BeeeeWhoop- Australian Ambassadors Report;

    It'll do.

The clues are all there, Doctor Bottson.

Notice traces of cocaine 'twixt Ni Fandell and Pie crust.

More traces on the "chopping board".

Chunks of bud sprinkled on the crust.

Lasagne and CRINKLE CUT FRENCH FRIES, waaaashed down with lemonade in a shifters glass.
