    Necron99's Steak Sandwich Challenge..

All right fellow dwellers and assorted deviants. No gay eggs or mincing hot'n'cold veggie shakes. It's all about the meat.

Put on the self titled masterpiece

Let your immediate village/moobahn listen to it too.
    And head to the meatlocker.

    What I used;

Strip of dead cow imported from the finest QLD pastures and butchered whilst being hand massaged and listening to the calming sounds of Tubular Bells..
    Onions, dead cow's best friend.
    Tomato
    Chilli powder
    Black Pepper
    Teriyaki sauce
    Honey
    Some sort of bread
    Chips

Rough chop and brown your onions. Not too much as they will be there for a while.
Add tablespoon of coarse black pepper, tablespoon of chilli powder and 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey.

Cook on a med-low heat until the honey has glazed the onions.

Add half a cup or so of teriyaki sauce. Stir while simmering until it reduces to a jam like state.

BBQ out of gas again so...

Pan Fry well seasoned dead cow in a hot pan, 30 seconds a side.

Wrap in foil, douse with man sauce and into the "oven" for a few minutes.

    Construction phase..

Walla! I call this piece Hot Teriyaki Onion Relish and Tomato on Dead Cow with Bread and Art Deco Chips Amongst Savages.

It will form part of my post-modern collection.

You people know nothing about Art.
    Nada
    Zip
    Zilch
    Diddly Squat.

You wouldn't know a Salvador Dali if it jumped up and gently half melted itself over your knobend.

    Good Day!

And at least two of you sure as shit ain't got no steak sandwich.....

Steak should be on a fookin' plate!

Must be something to do with his trailer park upbringing?

    Necron99's Steak Sandwich Challenge..

Ok Necron, perfect timing. I also have some Aussie steak in the fridge and was wondering how to turn it into a dish this time. Do we have a time limit?. Due to matters of National importance (golf tomorrow and a piss-up Friday) it would be the weekend before I can put something together resembling a steak sanga.

BTW yours looks fine to me. Love the way you did the onions and I really like crinkle cut chips!.

Looks freaking nice!! But is the onion and mushroom relish only for 1 serving? 4 ounces of teriyaki seems like a lot. I would cut that in half or more. I would omit the honey as well. Onions here are super sweet.
If you served that to me I sure as hell would not bitch, as I said, its damn nice.

4 medium onions. Used about a /13 on the sanga. Rest in a sealed jar in the fridge. Keeps for ages.

Trust me, you need the honey.

Okay now I see clear as a bell. ^ good idea to jar it up and keep it. I do that with my salsa.

I may give the challenge a whirl as well.

    Though techniques will differ.

I would have thinly shingled [sliced] the meat for easier consumption.
Can't imagine attempting to bite into that chunk with maximum pleasure.

I normally wouldn't divulge the secrets of my art, but.....crosshatch slice the steak about 2/3's of the way though before you build.

Looks good, but I would have sliced the steak fairly thinly after cooking and piled on the bread.
Also I would have toasted my bread, cos I hate to think where the thighs of a 16 year old virgin might have been or have got on them
