Seems to be more like 'rock salt' to me. I have brought over good sea salt quality mills / grinders from the UK before, and they were completely knackered after attempting to grind Thai 'sea salt' with them.?

I see the type of salt you are looking for being sold at the side of the road...on the 7 out of Pattaya 100%... also the road down to Hua Hin they have hundreds of people selling it...Could also ask in your local market the guys selling the fish covered in salt will know...hope this helps
