    Lazy Lawry's Buffalo BBQ Ribs.

    According to the bottle.

I'm lazy today, so just picked up a bottle of this stuff.

Ribs will have been marinating for about 2-3 hours before being put into the oven.

    Will they look like this:

    As per their website.

    Buffalo-BBQ-Ribs

Only time will tell lads... only time will tell.

Rule number one is never marinate your meat in BBQ sauce. So lets just wait and see how you can fuck this up even worse..

How come it says "30 minute marinade" on the bottle then?

    Still marinating mate.

Almost time to crack open a beer.

Second beer marks the time to stick 'em in the oven.

Plus to get tender ribs how long and at what temperature are you going to cook them? Do you want the meat falling of the bone or tough?

Ribs be they beef or pork are an American speciality, and sadly nobody would cook them with a wet marinade. You need a rub. Add your sauce at the end. Either on the table or as they set before serving.

Sorry but it would be for me like cooking Spotted Dick from a package.

    Done as per instructions.

    Buffalo-BBQ-Ribs

    Just out of the broiler.

The beer has been flowing, the bouquet le kitchen is sickingly sweet.... I think I'll leave them for 20 minutes while continuing to drink out here. Perhaps the smell will be gone soon.

I think they'll taste just fine.

    Will report back.

    If they don't blind me.

    Well I can still see.

Obviously very different to my normal ribs that are marinated in black pepper, garlic and black label, then charcoal BBQ'd.

Needed salt... taste is alright, very tender though I may have sugar poisoning by the time I've finished. They probably not the best when sober.

    After a few though.

    Sweet.

Dry rub smoking would've been a better option.

^ Careful the screws don't catch you with it.

So this evening the missus piped up that she had prepared some short ribs for me and would I like her to fry them up. I told her to fire up the oven and bring me a beer.

Done with crushed garlic, freshly ground pepper and oyster sauce. I added a nice dash of black label, sealed them up and shoved them in the oven. ETA 60 minutes. Bet they're nicer than Lawry's sugar mix.
