How to catch your own fish

first off you need to find a large body of water preferably with fish in, dig a small channel leading to a lower area, the water is now draining from the main body to a lower area, then just set one of these up, easy as that.

Of course if you don't want to stick to traditional methods, old plastic bottles will do just fine

You have missed out the best bit!! after the water has nearly drained out, you wade into the deep mud and work your way around the ex-pond. You stick your bare hands under various water-logged debris and feel for a wriggle!! At that point you try to grab the fish (you hope) and throw it in a bucket. If it is a snake-head fish, easy. If a catfish you had better be careful of the spines cos they give nice septic punctures. Of course, you have no idea which it is, as the fish looks like a lump of mud.

You then work the grassy edges, being careful of any snakes that may have taken refuge. As the water drains completely, you can pick up the smaller fish and any bugs that you particularly like.

At this point you are covered in mud and the local funny men are laughing at the muddy farang. You have to laugh with them and gesticulate that they should get in the mud too, otherwise they will not be seen as men ever again. They usually walk away at this.

The wifes relatives, meanwhile, are keeping other villagers from stealing some fish, without much success. A snake thrown in the interlopers direction gives a few minutes peace and some hilarity.

At the end of the day, the family has a barrel of fish to sell, and plenty more to eat. These are immediately barbequed, steamed and fried at the waters edge, and eaten with a few choice bugs.

You have gotta be crazy to do this; I have done it twice.
    I have reported your post

marmers you would obviously starve to death if you had to catch your own food, the fish swim into the bottle, as the entrance is small and in the center they find it hard to find the way out...
