Home-made, whether juice or food, is always best. You know exactly what goes into it. Store leftovers in the fridge. Duh.

I said it before but I will say it again. If you are interested in juicing for health benefits and weight loss you should watch this guys video. The net is full of info amd there are tons of how to's on you tube to do it properly. Worth it to see the 430lb trucker end up at around 250 and jogging....

I decidefd to try another mix was ok but next time I will only use 1 head of broccoli as it has a very strong flavour.

    2 heads of broccoli
1 whole pineapple (to mask the broccoli)
    1 medium carrot

Are decent beetroots availible in Thailand?
I'm talking about fresh, and not pickled, brined, or whatever they do to preserve them

I just found some in the supermarket at the bottom of Threpasit and I'm sure I've seen them in Foodland.

I bought a juicer, it's got an attachment that does a great job of grinding coffee beans.

Heres a recipe for a hangover using beetroot, amongst other things:

    75ml gin
    200ml beetroot juice
    200ml tomato Juice
    ½ tsp celery salt
    2 tsp freshly grated horseradish
    2-3 drops Tabasco
    10-12 shakes Worcester sauce
    Freshly ground black pepper
    50ml red wine
    Celery sticks, to garnish

Pour all the above into a big jug filled with ice, stir briskly, pour into a glass and down it, taking a good glug first, and then sipping slowly, but regularly...like one does with the 1st beer in a session.
Theres enough there for 2-4 people, so its best used after a bar crawl with your mates, or the morning after a good party

I see them in the market in Patong all the time.
Reminds me to pick some up to make a gratted carrot/beet salad with some bits of orange, lemon and fresh ginger all topped with some olive oil. yumm!

I went for a different taste today,

    1/2 water melon
    1 inch piece of ginger
    1/2 large white radish
    2 cloves garlic

The radish gives it a nice peppery taste but it's maybe better for later in the day than breakfast.
I think this one would be very nice with some ice and a nice splash of vodka.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

I have been reding The Juice Fasters Bible on my Kindel and also took Bung's advice and downloaded Fat, Sick And Nearly Dead. Both are very good and full of information. Thanks for the info Bung.

It looks like I'm going to try a juice fast after Songkran.

When I mentioned it to the wife she was against it in a big way saying I would be dead within a week, that was until I mentioned I would also be giving up the grog.

Now all I hear is how good it's going to be for me and how soon am I starting and for how many years.
