    Koojos weekend HawaianPizza.

Constant requests from minime that I cook a Hawaian Pizza and the fact that it rained all day Saturday inspired me to cook a pizza for the first time ever, even though I don't have marmites industrial strength Pizza oven or handy pizza dough making midget.
    here is my pizza story.
For the Dough I used a rough puff pastry recipe, basically flour, baking soda salt and butter.
It didn't really work as Pizza dough, it cracked when rolled out and sort of broke up but I squeezed it bits back together and eventually got something I could use, though it turned out to be more an excellent scone pastry, hence we basically ended up with a giant scone with pizza topping.
    Delicious all the same.
Any hints regarding pizza dough are welcome.
    Dough necessaries ready.

    And the finished dough.

    Bung that in the fridge.

And nip down the market for some shopping while the pastry chills.

Time to start. The wine bottle is the rolling pin.

rolled out, tomato paste and onions.

some processed ham slices and pineapple.

A sprinkling of grated edam and into the oven.

    20 Minutes later.

Very tasty but a bit strange with the scone like dough.

Pineapple on pizza is just wrong! Other than that, looks great!

I go with davis, great effort especially coming up with the crust. But the sweetness of the pineapple would turn me off. Tried a slice once, that was enough.

You're all right, Hawaian pizza is just wrong. Ham and pineapple on a pizza? Are you daft?
But minime thinks it's the ducks nuts so there you go.
The next one will be peperoni and olive.
    9th floor slap.

Pepperoni and olive! Now you're speaking my language! Especially if it's with green olives. Not as traditional as black, but my favorite.

The only way to make a Ham and Pineapple pizza edible is to add Tomato/Onion and Egg, all on a BBQ source base of-course.

Koojo, you started off with the adjectives very tasty and delicious, then you changed to tasted like a scone, then you said the pineapple was wrong

Come on admit it, your son cooked that for a school project and you printed out 2 loads of photos.

Are you having trouble finding yeast?

If so, you could possible try making a soda bread dough (which is what you kind of made). You don't need to wait around or bung it in the fridge; just mix, roll it out, add the toppings and bung it in a hot oven.

I like a nice Hawaiian pizza sometimes, I think ham and pineapple merge well.

I'm a bit surprised our 2 American friends disagree too, although, maybe they're from near south of the border, and adding jalapenos or any chilli to the Hawaiian just wouldn't work,

which leads me on to the best pizza I ever had, Mexicana, I had it back in the UK, It was just like having a chilli Con Carne on a cheese and tomato base, It had medium heat and is a great after a few beers Try making one of those, especially you AO, leave the recipe for me,please

    Thanks.
Actually, this being China and anything slightly not usual in the Chinese way of things Chinese being difficult to find, and it only being yesterday that I discovered yeast was necessary, I haven't actually looked yet, but I'm guessing it will be difficult to get.
For example fresh parsley and basil are literally impossible to find on the street. ( or in the markets),
Chinese are useless at cooking and Chinese food is oily, bland and boring for the most part.

By and large a good looking effort Koojo..
"The Mexicana" Sabai Sabai mentions is a pizza worth trying, as long as you like VERY hot stuff!. My choice of pizza too .
Looks nice and lush from the view as well.

Hey mate that sounds like it can be done. Use a nice cheddar on top instead of mozzarella, and just a hint of the tomato sauce base. Perhaps some shredded onions on top to toast off while we melt the cheese. Copious amounts of amber fluid along the way. It takes like 3 hours to just make a proper dough so all the better.

Like this but with the onions browned, a much more yellow cheese, although this did have some cheddar, but a nice chili con carne underneath. Served with guacamole and chips.

Yes take out the lettuce and these would be nice side dishes.
