Wii's are ok, prolly the pick of the bunch if you want to keep her semi active whilst playing games.

Get it Modded then you can source games from here, they are about 100b a throw.

I've often been to Blake7's home to hold the contol of his son's Wii before it's taken off me whilst he shows me how to play the game.

When the 'GAME OVER' sign flashes up on the screen I even get to hold it for a few seconds more.

A friend bought one in USA last year and brought it here with him and his wife and him think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, I have never seen one but according to him, everyone should have one.

Thats a hook up to the telly type thing? easy to load games etc? My lad has progressed from gameboy to PSP, so it might be an option with Xmas looming, but, being a relative techno naif, it has to be simple for me!!

I bought one in Bangkok a month ago to bring back to the UK.
It's chipped and plays all the copy gameswhich you can getin the right places for 40 baht.
My boy loves it as does my mother, brother and evryone else who comes to the house.
It really is a computer for the whole family and as mentioned above keeps children active rather than just saqt down with a joystick.
If you are buying one in the UK the games whill range from 25 quid to 45 quid which is a bit extreme.

A couple of the kids that I 'babysit' for, have them. They are good fun, worth every penny and quite addictive when you get to have a go on it yourself. Standing too close to someone else, that is playing on it, sometimes gets you a clout in the face, from the remote though.

Make sure you have wifi enabled and you'll be able to upgrade to the latest firmware which will allow you to use a SD card up to 32GB instead of 2GB for backups.

I was going to buy a Wii for my boy as the games seem to be so easy for a three year old.
Not being to much of a telly addict I have a small 16" TV. Dose anyone know if I will I need to buy him a bigger TV to get the visual impact out of the games he'll be playing or dose it make no difference?

Yes it can be used without an internet connection but you'll miss out on a load of extras and updates. You can buy a LAN adaptor which fits in to a usb at the rear to do the job.

send the kids to bed; more fun for adults, as long as the room is big enough or as you say, getting clouted is a risk.
Tennis and boxing can be dangerous; Wii can be quite a workout - pass me another beer please.
