What age do kids stop wetting the bed, my son is 4 and still wets the bed. Don't want to put him back in nappies but it's getting bloody annoying.

my eldest brother - now 61 - apparently suffered occasional bed wetting through to his teens (am too young to remember); it was his saviour though as ruled him out when his number came up for army conscription, much to father's dismay.
Depends a lot on the kids Duggie, I have two girls, the youngest one now 6 has never wet the bed after we stopped her wearing pampers at night nearly 5 yrs ago.
The eldest one at 8 still has the occasional accident, I'm lost for ideas with the elder one, I make sure she goes to the toilet before bed but occasionally it still happens.
There can’t be good living where there is not good drinking
Boys tend to wet more than girls. Boys will wet up to age 6 ish. I doubt it's something to worry about. Best to not let the lad get stressed about it.Originally Posted by Dug

Quite a sensible article here.

My GF son stopped when he whose about 11 years old.
I found that he was just lazy.
Also sending them to bed earlier seem to work.
Wouldn't sweat it. I have twins (one boy and one girl), and they both would have occasional episodes until they were five or so. Sometimes it's earlier, sometimes later, but neither has had an incident after the age of six. If you haven't already, you might want to get one of those plastic bed covers that goes under the sheet; saves the mattress, and limits the irritation.
stop drinking fluids 3-4 hours before bed and a piss before bedtime ?
thats what I do to keep in until morning
Nothing to worry about, accidents can happen at this age. Don't stress him, it will stop. Piss before bedtime, and a piss when he wakes up at night might help.
As mentioned above, don't let him drink fluids at least an hour before bedtime and make sure he urinates just after he has cleaned his teeth and before he hops into bed.
And don't make a big thing about it mate. He will grow out of it sooner rather than later.
Also stick a pot next to his bed as some kids just don't like getting out of bed when its dark.
