| The Family Room Want to know the best place to buy baby clothing or toys, are diapers available in Thaliand? What about the best hospitals, the pitfalls of hiring a nanny or helper. How to keep teenagers amused in Bangkok, can I hire a carseat when I travel? Which children's medications are available? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Kids 'n Vids I'm starting this thread because as I sit here I've got the theme-song from the CGI kids DVD 'Buzzy Bee' going around and around in my head. I'd be surprised if any Kiwi members of the forum hadn't heard of Buzzy Bee, but for those that don't know this is Buzzy Bee: ![]() A very simple pull-along wooden toy that's very much an institution in NZ. I'd guess the majority of kids growing up in NZ would have had one at one time or another. Anyways when by boys were born well intentioned family members sent a couple over followed shortly thereafter by the Buzzy Bee DVD. Prior to this I'd always heard from other friends etc with kids how their children became enamoured with a certain DVD, usually some cartoon character or such, but since my boys weren't in that stage it never really struck me just how engrossed they can become. But Sweet baby Jesus are they now! Over the course of last weekend I must have sat through and watched, start to finish, the Buzzy bloody Bee DVD at least four times. And those are only the times that I could manage, christ knows how many times they actually watched it themselves. And then again this morning I'm up at 6am with them and the first thing they want... Not breakfast, not a hug from dad, but Buzzy bloody Bee! It's like crack cocaine for kids! |

Hold on, it's not all good. Firstly, he (in your case they) wanted to play Nemo and other boring games. Then some of the games I liked scared him so I couldnt play with him around. (sorry little SW, but today I think you should go to bed at 5.45pm Later we started playing together, but he didnt like as fighting each other (it was a fighting game) And co-operative games like Halo, he would run off to other locations to mess around instead of playing the actual mission./ Grrrrrrrr !
