Could have been a dad again today

Took a trip to the hospital in the sticks today unprepared for this.

Missus had been complaining recently about pain around her womb and having bleeding when she shouldn't. I took this quite seriously as she had a cyst removed with the previous birth so I checked the internet based on her symptoms and only could discover that it could be HPV or some infection.

At the hospital today 7am the doc told her to do a piss test which then revealed she was pregnant (Oh fuck I thought)

8am she disappears of to open her legs for the quack - nothing (My head still stressing over what could be)

    9am She goes for ultrasound

9.30am her father who works at the hospital makes a pregnant gesture towards me (He cannot speak English) by moving both hands across his gut.

Cue me now holding one son panicking of how i'm going to look after another kid then how nice it would be for my son now to have a sibling and then back to Oh Fuck and then to thinking how much I'd like a girl.

    10am - missus returns.....

ultra sound reveal fuck all - no baby = Miscarriage

We had no idea that she was pregnant (She was one month into) I never splash inside

Now nearly 12 hours on i don't feel much emotion but fuck how could I be feeling now.

    All in a day

A surprising amount of pregnancies end in miscarriage without the woman even being aware of it. Put down to an overdue period or a heavy period .

I've heard that before and the case here no doubt. A bit more painful getting a 1 month old down the bog.

Quite disgusting, I feel for the girl

Well Marmers I was going to say the same thing, but social protocol stopped me.

But since it's been broke already I guess the only question is, who shagged Mr.Brown's gf and got her up the duff?

    How Effective Is Withdrawal?

Effectiveness is an important and common concern when choosing a birth control method. Like all birth control methods, the pull out method is much more effective when you do it correctly.
    • Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 4 will become pregnant each year if they always do it correctly.
    • Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 27 will become pregnant each year if they don't always do it correctly.
Couples who have great self-control, experience, and trust may use the pull out method more effectively. Men who use the pull out method must be able to know when they are reaching the point in sexual excitement when ejaculation can no longer be stopped or postponed. If you cannot predict this moment accurately, withdrawal will not be as effective.

Even if a man pulls out in time, pregnancy can still happen. Some experts believe that pre-ejaculate, or pre-cum, can pick up enough sperm left in the urethra from a previous ejaculation to cause pregnancy. If a man urinates between ejaculations before having sex again, it will help clear the urethra of sperm and may increase the effectiveness of withdrawal.
Pregnancy is also possible if semen or pre-ejaculate is spilled on the vulva.

Keep in mind that the withdrawal method does not protect you from sexually transmitted infections. Use a latex condom or female condom to reduce the risk of infection.

See you are going to get enough grief on this thread already, so I will stick to this bit, and you should remember it as a lesson as to the 'power" of the internet. There is a lot of information out there, but unless you really know how to pick and chose between it, I would be very very careful on how I used medical info gleaned from the internet.

Secondly, watch your wife carefully. A "lost" baby, even an unknowingly lost baby can be quite an emotional stress on a lady (not all by any means).

    Good question. Just looked.

I am really not sure but there would be a variety of reasons. Not a good adherence to the endometrium, a faulty ovum, a genetic abnormality that is unviable, the fertised ovum in the wrong position....................,

I am not sure that anyone knows why. But I do know that it is a common thing.

Ok, as no-one has mentioned it here, I will.

A miscarriage is a serious thing for a woman (even if she didn't know she was pregnant). Sorry, if you feel I'm criticising Mr B, but you seem to be concentrating on your feelings. I guarantee hers are yours x 100, 1,0000, whatever. Give your wife some TLC and understanding for the next few weeks (or longer). She'll need it.

Sorry for both of your loss.

Thanks NR and all the other kind words others have left.

Suprisingly apart from the hormone imbalances the missus has taken it really well - she didn't have a clue she was up the duff and took it on the chin when told... we both know we are not prepared for another little 'un.

It's strange really considering, hard what to say - but life is still rolling along as it was before.
