    No idea, I'm afraid
If you post the name and model number if its a brand name like LG should be able to find out. If its a no name it might have it on the front somewhere, no point downloading the movies if it cant play them.
If it can play them some kind arsoul could put some on a DVD for you.

    It's a no-name (Oz, I think) It says it plays DVD/SVCD/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3/MP4

It also has the letters DIVX on it. Does that help, at all?

If you have MSN or Skype, other friends could send you whole movies. But I guess that would be dependant on your download limit.
I would be happy to download something for the little one and send it to you as I am sure many others here would also. But its a painfully slow transfer process.

Luckily NR Junior speaks English, but is there anywhere to DL these movies with a Thai soundtrack/subs or does one have to buy them from Mangpong?

Far better if you turn the film soundtrack off and put 'Dark Side of the Moon' on to go with it.

Somtum was a good thai movie. Your boy would like it.

make sure you provide him with manly man films and not romantic comedies!!

I guess Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line and Platoon would be a bit much no?

Of course, I was raised on war pics - dirty Dozen, Guns of Naverone etc.....and I turned out ok!!

Snow Dogs is good. So is Eight Below, but a bit sad.

    Pirates of the Caribbean?

Got Wall-E for him yesterday. Good job he's got a good attention span (for the goggle box & his Nintendo, anyway) because I'd have given it 30 mins and turned it off! However, the story when it really got going (OK, when there was actually some dialogue!) was really good. We both enjoyed it.

Yeah, I'm thinking of some Pirates of the Carribean ones, Jettie. Haven't bought any yet, but think he'd like them.

^ Can't download, but I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks, Jettie. He's currently watching (at this moment, actually) a load of Portland Bill episodes that Sun Shade downloaded for him & sent to us. Current faves though are 'Alvin & the Chipmunks' (even I think parts of that are funny!) and 'Lilo & Stitch'. I also bought him a Disney compilation called 'Winter Wonderland' that he loves.

Monster House. The kids have gone through two copies. Garfield one and 2. Bill Murray's the voice on that one, too.

^^ The Arctic Tale is more a documentary, but still good. Have you got firefox, NR? Easier to view streaming vids on them. I don't like to download the stuff. Just clean up your internet temp files after so the stuff doesn't weigh on memory or whatever it is.

^ Ya, I love the Garfield flicks. Good laugh.
