Think the only way to Koh Samui from Trat would be bus to Bangkok then bus or train to Surat Thani, then on from there.
I think Bangkok Airways still has flights to Samui from Trat.
dont think there is a boat from ko chang so you would have to either fly from trang or you can get a ferry from don sak
