I like those little restaurants like yours especially when there situated near the beach, your food looks good and I hope you really do well, good luck with it all. Could be a tad financially dangerous giving free beer to the Teak Door dudes especially blokes like LT who have been known to down 35 long necks in one sitting.

I appologize if my mind is racing faster than my fat fingers can type. and it was Mrs ST drinking the Soda Water not Mrs LT.... however my Mrs certainly would have enjoyed Mrs LT's company as she always does. Beer goggles! We drink what is available. anyuthiong but Leo and Budwiser. Did not notice ony pork knuckle on the menu. no kraut either but what was on the menu was just fine.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Sea Traveler,I'm glad you enjoyed it.... Called my wife and tried to tell her that if any TD folks showed up,not charge them for the beer. She was frantic, so busy she could not talk at all.I did not think any of you would get down there so soon. She may not understand about giving beer to my TD buddys. Mainly it's a guy thing. When I'm there no problem.I'll send you a PM when I get back. Thanks again Sea Traveler[/quote] understand scrapmetalband, it wasn't the potential for a free beer that got me there. not my style. however, I've been know to have a few beers with friends when the occasion raises. We shall do that when you get back. Keep your head down and maintain situational awareness. |

| Member | Looks great...Good Luck Definately on my plan for April if I head Down South. What we need is one of these TD Geniuses with lots of time on his hands to create a dynamic "Google Map for expat's with all the special restaurants, good value western standard recommended accommodation and Bars marked and attached to detailed info pages with pics. It would be great attached to the Front Page! Who is up to the challenge!!....make yourself famous! and you could even name it "Fr...go get it ...Map" or something that takes your fancy! We all see these good pages then they slip to the back and we forget them..Maybe anything to be added would need to be voted for by 10 members of something similar, and even members only blogs attached. ![]() ![]() |

This is a brilliant idea as this thread is one of the best I've seen on here for ages. Scrap is the sort of expat who is having a crack with his restaurant run by his lovely Thai wife in a nice environment. Not expecting to much. Very interesting stuff to see Scrap starting from scratch and I hope he continues with this thread and we can see how he goes. But what I really like is the idea of pinning a page solely for our members who have businesses around the place and also creating a sort of net work out in the field for our members to visit and stay. Also we get feed back in the way of whether the place is kosher or not. What do you dudes recon? I can think of a few straight of the bat and we start with this thread. Then add Hillbillies gaff , GusG down on Samui, DD's new cafe thingy and I know a dude who's got a brilliant house in rural Udon who does a home stay. A few more on here for sure. Maybe a Mod can transfer this post over to Members and start it as a new thread. Cheers for that. | |
