Mun Nork Island Resort
Anybody been here?
It will cost about 10k for the missus and I for two nights three days. On the island.
Doesn't sound too bad.

one of my colleauges went a while back, she spoke very highly of it
i considered it myself but thought a bit pricy for what you get, and koh samed doesent seem that much worse to be honest and half the price for something decent
try lima coco on the west side. 1500-2500 and not so many people
own boat goes at noon everyday
we won it at wemberlee
we on it in gay paree...
I went there in 2002, very nice location. Seems to me their prices have gone up considerably, however. I don't think it's worth 10K.
The place is run by a hippy-dippy gay Thai dude who gave off anti-farang vibes. He didn't seem to appreciate that I wanted a decent breakfast and not some watery rice soup.
You're stuck with eating their food, which as I recall was very run of the mill Thai rice dishes.
Back then they had a BYOB policy, but now I see you can buy drinks now?
I also noticed they have a 200B corkage fee, which is a rip off.
Not many folks during the week, but on weekend it's packed with loud Thai families.
All of the above are par for the course in Thailand, doesn't really bother me except when they charge those prices I expect more...
