Direct bus from Chanthaburi to Nong Khai?

    Hi

Just moved to Chanthaburi and need to do a V/Run to laos soon.. anyone know if there is a direct bus from Chanthaburi to Nong Khai? I know there is one from Rayong or Korat.

I phoned the Bus Station .. but couldn't get any sense out of them !

    Thanks

You can use logic to justify anything. That's its power. Itís also its flaw.

Doubt there is a direct bus, probably easiest just to go from Rayong or Korat, Korat there is likely to be more buses perday to Nong Khai and Udon Thani.

I had to make a similar trip a few years back. Don't quote me on this but I think there is a direct bus from Chantaburi to at least Udon. I was coming from Trat and heading for Khon Kaen. I changed buses at Chantaburi and took a bus that went to Khon Kaen and beyond but I don't recall its final destination.

You can get nice VIP buses from korat for 300 bt +. I've only ever caught them at night(from 10pm onwards) but they are very comfortable. Big reclining, massaging seats, upstairs and down. Carry a claw hammer with u incase the fucker crashes (just a precaution like, specially if ur sat downstairs).

Direct bus from Chanthaburi to Nong Khai?

Thanks guys .. if there is one to Udon .. that'll do. Maybe I will go down to the Bus Station tomorrow after work (Bloody English Camp!) and shake the info out of them in person. I'm terrible trying to communicate in Thai over the phone!

I'll post the results here for others future reference.

    Thanks
