| Rayong Fishing? Driving down from Khon Kaen for 5 day break at Rayong, Nice Beach Hotel ban Phe. I will be with wife and two kids (11 & 17) and meeting up with my mate and his family, I have a few ideas already (golf for the boys one day), the aquarium, a day trip to Koh samet. The question is mainly about fishing i.e. Are there any trips out of Ban Phe, is beach casting an option ? Thank you KK Boy |

| I have seen people fishing from the rocks just at the western entrance to Ban Phe. Small fish though. The aquarium is quite nice with only 30 b. in damage, no discrimination there. Koh Samet, don't forget your Thai driving license if you are going in to the National park area, can save you a few hundred b.

| Don't go to St Andrews for the golf mate - even your mega driver won't help! One hole is 910 yds off the back tee and many have a bigger carry over water than you ever get at Dan Coon or the Army!! Enjoy See you in the Summer Iain |

| Contact one of the local boat operators. I was planning to make day trip to Koh Talu (small island near Lae Mae Phim, Rayong) and was quoted around 4K for the day. Sorry, I don't know any specific operators. However, if you stop by Petra's shop (3 doors down from Christy's, next to the 7-Eleven, across from the main pier to Samet in Phe) and speak to the owner, she'll probably know for certain. Petra's her name, friendly lady who speaks good English and runs a nice little shop, been there for years. |
