Yes there are vans to Koh Chang from Pattaya. I'm not sure where from though. I lived on KC for a while and plenty of folks travelled from there. It was roughly 800bht last year from KC to BKK, so i can't see it being that much from Pattaya.

    Brodie,

There's a travel agent on Soi Postoffice (Soi 13/1) with a big sign in the window for trips to Koh Chang. I used them last year, cost was 1000B per person roundtrip. Their van will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and drive you to the ferry (just beyond Trat) that links to Koh Chang. The ride is 4 hours with a stop in the middle. They usually fill the van so there's no room to spread out.

On the other side meeting the ferry will be several baht busses which will load up and take everyone to their hotels. There's really only one main road that goes along the coastline. Baht busses are frequent along the road.

On your return, the van company meet you at the ferry landing (on the mainland side) and take you back to your hotel in Pattaya. It's very easy.

I've used a van service that does pick up/delivery to your hotel on Koh Chang- none of this dropping off at ferry nonsense. The service originates in Pattaya. However, I live in Rayong, and the fee from there is 600-800 baht, depending on the time of year.
    PM to follow, brodie
