Koh Chang is nice, the only bad bit is the room prices, anything with air and hot water starts at 1,000baht per nite, anyway here are 5 pages of pics I took of Koh Chang

it's all up to you, as there are all types of accomodation now

I really don't think you need hot water and aircon on the beach, waste of money. Unless you are a spoilt rotten sort of person!!

I stayed in a garden shed on stilts for a few weeks, shared bathroom etc

    good fun and nice time

now they are catering for more upmarket types, like DD, and you can get windows with glass in them.

move on to other places me...
    I have reported your post

    Hi.

Actually, i was told that "The tree house" in Long beach, is really cheap and bloody gorgeous.
also, one guest house which is not yet in the guides ' Oasis bungalows"(250 B a night) on Lonely Beach.
And for the bars, i heard about "Backsound" on Lonely beach. And all the other bars in this area are said to have a really nice atmosphere.

hmmm, you ask a question then, miraculously, you answer it yourself!!

    amazing

Mind you, Koh Chang at this time of year could be bloody awful weather-wise. It can be really bad. A few years ago an acquaintance was on one of the smaller islands there for Xmas and the weather blew up. The boat could not reach them at all, and they were down to one egg each for food!

The Thai navy had to rescue them and take them to the mainland. Fun.

I think it is a bit bad at the moment in the Gulf of Thailand

Actually, I think the OP probably found the answer after the original post.

And is there any island in Thailand where the weather isn't temperamental?
