Property Si Racha, Chonburi and Rayong need help please.

Hi I am living in Phuket at present (9 years) and am most interested in purchasing either land or a house somewhere in the Si Racha, Chonburi and Rayong areas. The only stipulation is a sea view. I have travelled to Chonburi on two occasions recently and while I have a good understanding of the Phuket market I have been running down cul de sac's in Chonburi. Please can somebody put me in the right direction. I have no idea how to contact Real Estate agencies dealing in these areas. Internet searches have proved fruitless and those in the Pattaya area were most unhelpful?.

    Thanking you in anticipation. Nip

Don't know about the areas mentioned but south of there, Chantaburi, Trat etc. there are NO real estate agents that I could find. Its all word of mouth in this area. Sea views are readily available ($$$$) but your on your own finding them. Best bet is to stay a week or so in a hotel and wander to your heart's content along the beach areas.

IMHO your best bet would be on a hill near Bang Saray, they still have a few blocks there 100 tw for around 4500-5000 Bht/tw
Bang Saray is 20 kms south of Pattaya.
There are also two builders claiming to have permits to start new 5-6 story condo blocks.
I would not trust them, as the Royal Thai Navy has explicitly stated that 3 stories is the maximum allowed.
Best of luck, oh and don't deal with Expatriate Property people, they tend to double the price of anything if a fellow expatriate is the buyer.
    Such friendly chaps.

    So right!

Thanks to everybody for their replies. Business in Thailand "The Land of Lies" is from experience on the basis that all concerned are "Guilty until proven Innocent! And that Generousity is considered a Weakness not a Virtue" That said I live here by choice and dont wish to take cheap shots at Thailand or the Thai's. Excuse me if I all ready have? Next week I intend returning to Chonburi and I will trawl the coast all the way to Rayong in search of either a house or land. Time is on my side as will be a pretty Chinese girl.

    Thanks again!

Hi Nip. Contact Khun Tuk at Kingfisher in Si Racha 081 554 3890. She is handling a large portfolio of property there. If you want to go further south she can put you in contact with her network in Rayong. Cape Mae Pim is very attractive for investment.
    Baan Chiang also looks good.

You ain't kidding. But is there anything left down there? Lived in Rayong for almost 6 years, and that stretch of road between Ban Phe and Mae Phim used to be one of my favorite rides.

Now it's just one big construction zone, seemingly overnight. The big project is Phuphatara, a five star resort and gigantic condo complex. Once they broke ground on that, I noticed other building projects starting up damn near every week. It's hard to find stretches of beach front land that haven't been bulldozed. I don't recognize the place anymore, it's the next big thing.

    Here's the link to Phuphatara

Too bad I didn't invest six years ago, eh?
